Can Google Family Link see search history?
Google Family Link has limited capabilities for parents to see a child’s search history. While it can enable a child’s Google account to save their activity on Google sites and apps, parents cannot view this detailed browsing history directly within the Family Link app. To access this information, parents must log into the child’s Google Account manager.
Key limitations include:
- Children can delete their search history, and Family Link does not prevent this action.
- Search filtering and SafeSearch primarily function on Google Chrome and Google Search, and do not apply to other search engines or browsers.
- Google Family Link blocks the use of Incognito mode on Chrome.
