1. Click Parentrol Icon and the software will automatically installed

2. When Parentrol window pops out, please check the box at the bottom left corner showing that the software is running properly

3 .At the same time, we can see the sign "Normal" at the top right corner

1. The procedure is simple. At the top left corner, you can see two options "Start Screen Recording" and "start Keyboard Recording"

2. Check the box besides the action you want and Parentrol will automically launch monitoring

1. We may want to set password for Parentrol to prevent unauthorised parties to run Parentrol. The procedure is simple. You can see "Master Password Setup" button on the top row

2. Click the button and a pop up box will appear

3. Type your new password twice in the appropriate boxes and the password is set. Now you need to enter password every time you enter Parentrol

Screen Monitoring

1. Make sure you select "Screen Monitoring"

2. You can see a column on the left showing the date. By Clicking the date, you can check the record of a specific date you requested

3. The record will be shown on the right area

4. You can change your display option. Parentrol can show 1, 2 or 4 screen capture at the same time

5. Click ">" to see the next screen capture record

Keyboard Monitoring

1. Make sure you select "Keyboard Monitoring"

2. You can see a column on the left showing the date. By Clicking the date, you can check the record of a specific date you requested

3. The record will be shown on the right area

4. There are two view options - "rich text" and "plain text", you can choose the display form based on your preference

b. When the record is too long, you can Click ">" and "<" on the right to move to the next page. You can also type in the page number

1. Click "Export Records" and you can export the records you want

1. Click "Setting", then you can go to the setting page

Setting your directory fileKey

1. Type in your pnk in the bar under Monitoring Records Directory. All the record will be saved into the file you chose

2. Click "open" and the directory file will be opened at a new window

3. Monitoring Frequency means how frequent Parentrol will take a snapshot of your screen. If you type 30, it means Parentrol will take snapshot of your screen every 30s

4. You can check the box "Stop screen monitoring when mouse is idle for 3mins". It stops Parentrol to record screen if it detects the mouse is idle for 3 mins to save storage space

Monitoring Preference

1. There are two options, "Full Screen" and "Active Window Only". It specifies the target of the screen capture. If you check "active window only", Parentrol will only capture the window that is currently in use

Screenshots Size

1. We have 3 sizes, 640*480, 800*600 and 1024*768 or you can choose "Original Size", so Parentrol will save the screenshot with a size based on your computer setting

2. You can decide how long Parentrol is going to keep your records, ranging from 1 day to 90 days. It affects your disk space required. The longer you keep your records, the more disk space you required
